The Ex-Plasmon project in Via Cadolini is part of an urban redevelopment program aimed at creating a clear identity for new public spaces while enhancing connectivity across the neighborhood. The intervention involves Via Sannio, Via Colletta, Via Tacito, Via Tertulliano, and Via Cadolini, stitching together currently fragmented urban fabrics and establishing a network of interconnected, sustainable, and accessible public spaces.
Key transformations include the redevelopment of Via Sannio with new Quercus robur fastigiata plantings and the conversion of a parking lot between Via Sannio and Via Colletta into a green park for the kindergarten. This park will feature pedestrian and cycling paths, perennial flowerbeds, central clearings, and a grove of trees to increase biodiversity. Via Colletta will be enhanced with flowering trees such as Prunus serrulata and Acer monspessulanum, flowerbeds, and seating areas to provide safe and welcoming spaces for relaxation.
In Via Tertulliano, green pockets with circular seating and new trees will transform intersections with Via Tacito and Via Cadolini into tree-lined plazas with permeable paving and amenities for the community. Via Cadolini will undergo a complete redesign, including regulated parking, a new row of trees, and a cycling path, utilizing stone block paving to ensure continuity with Via Tertulliano.
The entire project aims to improve urban quality, reduce impermeable surfaces, and encourage the use of public spaces. These interventions promote sustainability, accessibility, safety, and biodiversity, giving the neighborhood a renewed and vibrant identity.
