The new Parco Pitteri has a triangular shape with three main access points: the first from the public use area to the east, via the bridge over the Roggia Molinara; the second from Via Camillo Otto Cima, which serves as both a pedestrian and bicycle access and a maintenance entrance; and the third, to the north, which is currently interrupted. This northern connection is pending the extension of the park along the municipal property, as planned by the local administration, to link it with the Parco della Lambretta.
Within the park, organic shapes define small areas designed for free play or relaxation, as well as a large open space intended to serve as a focal point for residents. These areas, paved with gravel, are located along pedestrian and cycling paths and are bordered by vegetation or equipped with seating.
The eastern bank of the Roggia Molinara is being regraded to soften its slope, making the streambed, currently enclosed by walls and inaccessible, usable and accessible. The bank will also be planted with vegetation.
Between the redesigned Roggia and the pedestrian and cycling paths, areas have been designated to potentially host urban gardens, should there be local interest in their implementation. For now, the project includes only the preparation of these spaces.
Following soil remediation, slight elevations and depressions will be created to facilitate surface water runoff and drainage under normal weather conditions. The regraded banks of the Roggia may also serve a hydraulic function during extreme weather events.
