The built urban margin of the area is defined by an open system of buildings according to a scheme that integrates elements of service to the neighborhood but fails to define urban continuity and a place of identity. The park as well as being a potential reference point for the city, thanks to its road, pedestrian, and cycle links; it can also play a role in the development of new neighborhoods by creating a city-park-natural system in which the transition between man-made and natural systems is mediated by a place of culture and social knowledge.
The articulation of the 3 squares is placed on this structure, which becomes recognizable places, urban thresholds with nature, and places of social and cultural mediation. On this open structure, there are two buildings, the Community Center and the River Building, which will make it possible to host various activities independently but in proximity.
The concept of separation of activities combined with that of proximity is the one that best defines both the relationship with the city but also that within the groups of users of the park, who will be able to use the spaces in such a way as to build their own paths, from reducing frictions and incompatibilities but also to find the opportunity to build an open and voluntary social confrontation.
The structure of the park's paths is located along with the continuation of the future extension of the long river, protecting the less urbanized part and leaving a large strip of the park for the function of biocenosis and the natural development of its biodiversity basin.
The part of the park toward the neighborhood is created according to addition and subtraction actions, in which the voids in the existing vegetation and its rarefaction in the vicinity of the built parts, correspond to greater attention and care of the landscape elements thus creating a variety of design and landscape elements of transition towards the natural park which gives it the role of urban park.
The area in which the sports activities are located, in the western area, is redesigned to create a large podium on which some activities are placed, reusing the existing landfill but giving it the shape, in which the vegetation insertions are located.
