The requested spaces are organized in blocks for classrooms and laboratories; the most creative part is developed inside a container of a simple, but flexible and adaptable shape. Volumes overlapping the existing base look as they are suspended, and the rooftop open itself to the town and the surrounding landscape.
The school then connects with different intensities to the town. Close to the main entrance we have a public art square; the western side is hybrid and works for both public and educational outdoor purposes.
The renovation of the existing building is limited to the underground and ground floors; the rest of it has been demolished and replaced. The three main volumes are designed for high energetic performances, through the facade technology and the building systems, in order to meet the NZEB requirements.
