In Kuwait City it is planned to erect the monument “The Constitution”, that shows the pathway towards democracy of the State of Kuwait, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Constitution.
“The Monument” divides the landscape into two places: “the Old” and “the New”. The Old being represented by a messy landscape, dry and hectic, where the feeling of instability and insecurity is reigning. The New being represented by an organized landscape, prosperous and organized, where the feeling of security and calm is reigning.
The ANCIENT ERA walkways are not in order, trees and shrubs are in a “hard” landscape; with big mass of stones, types of shrubs are coming out from the desert and the arid climate.
Two 15x9 m. height panels are made in shiny brass-plain (facing old era) and crystal glass with light (facing New Era). It is a passage to the future. The glass facade contains the text of the 183 articles of Constitution in brass letters with the light behind. The borders of the panels are shining of light like a “lighthouse” (the Constitution as a guide, overland and overseas). The brass facade facing the Ancient Era represents the difficulties of the past solved and cleared by the Constitution.
The FOUNTAIN A big fountain with water jets and lights is the purify passage through the garden from north-east.
The STARS 183 stars like glass candle lamp have the principle of each article printed on the top. It composes a landscape of light green light.
