The design idea for chapel create a pure volume that is declared in a simple form.
The facade is essential made with a simple texture of the stone of Vicenza. The chapel is a box without openings but the presence of a bird forged bronze that stands out from a branch invites towards the right.
The area for construction was 4x4 meters and was not possible remove a magnificent specimen of Thuja tree. To valorize the presence of the tree we rotated the entrance of 90 ° towards the tree. The entry way to the tomb it is on the right side and it is marked by a bronze portal of 6 meters in height made, by the designer Ugo Valtorta. The net area of the facade contrasts with the rich design of the portal. Here there are branches and leaves of Prunus fused in bronze alloy with the technique of lost wax casting. On the branches are laid gold colored birds.
The sloped roof is placed upside down on columns so as to seem suspended.
Inside the tomb welcomes on two adjacent sides 8 burial recess and 24 ossuaries closed from slabs of 2.45x0.85 meters of Vicenza stone. On the stone floor has engraved a cross. The inner facade to the right of the entrance is made with natural stone and cuts in the center with a cross shape let the entry of light of the sunset. Internally was placed a wooden sculpture by the artist Nicola Manfrini.
