The organic and inclusive intervention integrates the building, the public space and the landscape into a coherent and recognizable whole, thus restoring a quality green place to the city. The open spaces flow through the area evoking the historic green appurtenances of the Abbadesse farmhouse: an idea of a macro block between via Taramelli and the Mendel gardens, in direct connection with the system of squares inside the Palazzo Lombardia.
The perimeter of the area acquires a new quality with the widening of the sidewalk on via Pola, via Ippolito Rossellini and Via Taramelli, reducing the parking area and extending the cycle path network along the future Centrale-Farini axis.
An important feature of the building is that of placing quality green spaces not only on the ground floor but also at higher altitudes: in direct connection with the common areas between the institutions, the presence of green terraces improves the quality of the working spaces and promotes well-being of users.
