New design of the facades and the common spaces for a new and innovative image of Peksun Apartments in Kadikoy, in Asian part of Istanbul.
The project answers to the urban regeneration programme followed to hearquake rules of 2007 and the National Law 6306.
In the previous project the first level and the entrance level was not “designed”. The Building have not a good connection to the ground and the entrance level is so not so “fancy” and it is not protected from the busy road to be “open”.
The repetition of the floors gives a sense of “static” and the division of the north elevation with the central wall makes too much evident the apartment units instead the design of the whole building.
Three project proposals have been elaborated with the objective to create dinamic facades and mark and design a basement with brass vertical elements.
The study of different technological solutions and the materials choice is the core of the project.
