Club S Resort Landscape

The Master-plan concept for the new Resort Club S in Sorochany is developed by 3 vivid character:
-The Green Leaf: the landscape design considers the space during Spring and Summer with trees for both seasons. The ”green vertical” is more visible, nature is physically present. All paths are accessible.
-The White Leaf: during Winter, the landscape changes the perception of the space and a lot of trees seem different from Summer, the horizontal plane is homogenous and smooth.
-The Light Leaf: during the night the landscape changes again; the light paths and the architectural light make the landscape more immaterial.
The space has to be as natural as possible but designed so that some place are “graphic” and some other can control the environment and the exterior views.
The welcoming part in the backside of the buildings are the Suites garden. This part will be designed more “architectural” with each entrance to the single unit with plants and small stone gardens.
Nature elements in an organic very controlled way prepares the scene for the single units. The architecture of the houses is extended with some natural elements reaching the garden.
The pine woods that covered the property in south part of the Clubhouse had to be cleared and cleaned to create open views. In front of the houses, formal gardens with ornamental shrubs and herbaceous borders are laid out to protect the privacy of the guests.
The paths crossing the wood are made in “over-paving” wood, and in the middle of the forest there are two “living in the wood” as place to stay in a peacefully way.
The Lake, river and island
The borders of the lake and of the river will be outlined by works of “natural engineering” to control in a better way the water fluxes river and the greenery of the borders.
The lake will have a spill-over and clean water source by itself, the water will be mixed with water of the river. In this way the level of the water will be always the same during the different seasons. In Winter with the lights placed under the level of ice the lake will seem as a down enlightened iced surface.
