The landscape design of the villa is part of an extensive renovation, the expansion of the existing pool, and a new garden of a guest house.
The villa is situated on a cliff with a steep slope to the west of the town of Menaggio. For the characteristics of the soil, the interventions of the landscaping project have been directed to give the highest importance to the view overlooking the lake.
The garden is well recognizable in the main lines drawn by the former owner, has been adapted to the needs of the new owners. So it's not structural except for the expansion of the pool, but a careful study of the available space to open our eyes to the landscape. Around the pool were drawn new evergreen hedges that close to the north the view and keep the privacy for people in the pool, while to the south is left free. Garden around the guest house was linked to the existing garden with a terrace, stairs and, not to break the visual continuity, you have used all the tools available to camouflage: small earth movements, inclusion of taxus hedges trimmed irregularly. Starring in the absolute of this garden are the big chestnut existing: at their feet, the choice of highlight with a collar of pachysandra ground cover.
